Australia
The Aboriginal belief system seems to be unique in the world.
Although animist in principle it doesn't appear to be shamanic
but rather based on personal experience.
Gnostic in essence but purely based on nature.
No human like deities involved at all.

Re: Australia
The experience of many Australians is that there are difficulties too. There is a mythical large snake that travels the land and wherever it goes becomes sacred land to them. This has led to many land disputes. One party is saying that in their dream state they saw the snake pass over a piece of land and the owners refusing to give up the land so it can be a designated a sacred site. They also have their own law. You may get let off by the Australian law only to find you have to hide from being punished by aboriginal law.
