I have been out in the woods at night .. lots of times.
Most recently 2 or 3 weeks ago. Heard lots of owls and scurryings and comings and goings .. I was the only one that wasn't scared  I was having a great time it was really dark too.
I love the dark ..
Course it didnt help that we were in Bangour Village

Re: Carrie's Poke and Prod! Was there a power cut? That would explain the funny noises. And have you relocated already? Last time I was in Wales,all the weird noises at night were along the lines of 'Keep still will you' and 'Baaa'.

Re: Carrie's Poke and Prod! Sorry,geographicaly challenged there for a moment.The spelling should have been a clue. What is a psych village? A victorian experiment for the socially incapable perhaps? Or maybe a location for the temporaly challenged?

Re: Carrie's Poke and Prod! Just wiki'd it. I think the only haunting thing about the hospital is the criminal neglect and vandalism. And that's not just since it closed. It's amazing how reinvented wheels always turn out to be the wrong shape.

Re: Carrie's Poke and Prod! I think it is a shame that such magnificent architecture should just be abandoned for political reasons. The facility obviously served its purpose well but didn't meet the requirements of a Brave New World,run by accountants. I also think it ironic that we can probably see in microcosm,the same thing that happened to all the glorious buildings of the Roman Empire after the admin left in 410. Such is life.
